About Consulting on SkillsBank
Consulting lives or dies on the deliverable — the deck a partner will scrutinise, the status email a client reads for what you're not saying, the scope-change note that has to hold up when the budget conversation gets tense. The AI skills and prompts on this page are built to the standards consultants already hold themselves to: MECE structure, a clear storyline, and client-ready output you can send without waiting for a partner's red pen.
Every offering here is written, tested, and human-reviewed in-house before it ships — never scraped from a public repo or crowd-sourced. You bring your own AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, and others); we bring the expert instructions that make it produce work at a professional bar, without the prompt-engineering.
Questions
What are Claude skills for consultants?
They're installable instruction files (SKILL.md) that turn your AI assistant into a repeatable engine for a specific consulting deliverable — turning a report into a deck, drafting a client status email, building a stakeholder agenda, or working through a scope change and its risks. Each one encodes how the task is done well, the same way every time, so you get client-ready structure instead of a blank-page draft. The prompts on this page cover the one-off version of the same work.
Do these work with ChatGPT and other AI assistants?
Yes. Skills (SKILL.md) install natively in Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, Codex, Gemini CLI, and claude.ai. Prompts paste into Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or any AI assistant. You bring whichever assistant you already use; the skill or prompt is what does the expert work.
Are SkillsBank's consulting offerings safe to use with client work?
Every skill and prompt is written, tested, and human-reviewed in-house by our own editorial pipeline before it's published — nothing is scraped from a public repo or crowd-sourced. Even so, treat the output as a strong first draft: check it against your engagement's facts and your firm's standards before anything reaches a client. These are tools to speed up the work, not a substitute for professional judgement or advice.
What's the difference between a skill and a prompt?
A skill is an installable SKILL.md file for a repeatable task you do the same way every time — like every weekly status update or every report-to-deck conversion — so your assistant follows the same expert method on each run. A prompt is pasteable text for a one-off job you don't need to standardise. Skills live inside your assistant; prompts you copy in whenever you need them.
How do I install a consulting skill?
Download the skill as a .md or .zip and add it to any tool that supports the Agent Skills standard — Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, Codex, Gemini CLI, or claude.ai — where it installs natively; you can also use it inside a ChatGPT Project. Prompts need no install at all: copy the text and paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or any AI assistant.
